Extras are the bits and bobs that banks and lenders add on to your accounts, loans and insurance in order to try and attract you to taking out that product with them. These extras range from air miles and mobile phone insurance to electrical products and discount breaks but all have an intrinsic value and you could be better off by taking a policy that has these kind of extras as it would save you money elsewhere. More illustrious extras are usually found on accounts and products that are the most expensive and in-acesible. So if you are looking at getting a premium bank account that costs £30 per month but it comes with mobile phone insurance and bonus air miles which may save you £10 per month on your insurance and £xx on air miles next time you go on holiday you may be better off taking this kind of account than a les costly model.

In need of some finance advice?

If you are struggling to come to terms with what is required of you for any form of financial product from loans, mortgages, credit cards or insurance our team can help you for free! Our finance school is not about giving people the direct yes or know answer but explaining why each decision should be considered and advising on what the ourtcomes would be. We prefer to teach someone the in’s and out’s rather than them making the same mistake again in the future.
